Key Features:
- Estimates environmental impacts by measuring output tokens (similar to word count) in generated responses.
- Combines token data with your coarse location (by country, state or province, and watershed ID) to model localized grid and water resource impacts.
- Collected data is securely analyzed at aiimpacttracker.cs.haverford.edu so you can view aggregated, community-wide environmental impacts.
Privacy-First Design:
- The extension never stores the actual content of your prompts or responses (just the length of the responses).
- We strictly limit collection to the number of output tokens, your coarse location, and the date. Everything else remains completely private.
